Here at Evergreen Lutheran we believe that as important as worship is for God's people of faith, the study of His Word is also an important aspect of living out our faith together on a daily basis.  We feel this way because God has given us good examples to follow.  After His resurrection, Jesus led His disciples in studying God's Word according to Luke 23:27:  "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself."  We also have the example in Acts 17, that "those in Thessalonica ... received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so (v. 11).  Finally (for now!), we read in II Timothy 3 that "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work (vv. 16-17).

 

Putting all of this into practice, there are 3 Bible study opportunities each week at Evergreen Lutheran.  There could be more if there is a request for it.
